canadaonly2: these are all good vids.
funkyswede62: impressive docu and really well done covering chic is also a daunting task imo since they've done so much outside of chic as well. keep up the good work, briansreddCusterFlux: thanks brian, i'm so glad somebody's doing this they were easily one of the best rhythm sections of the 20th century, tony 'nard thanks where ever you are
briansredd: yeah way dig the 80's house sound of chicago :Oli3TB76: god, i love chic so underrated check out good times and its influence around the world by dp being one of many daryl pandy house legend
djcellx: do you like jackin houseOtherWorld: ha i'm going to watch your daft punk vid now. i love them also.
briansredd: a little of both. the first bit are produced by and the second bit are songs that have samples in them.OtherWorld: are these all samples or did they produce on these
conormang: wicked video, man. love chic and pretty much anything bernard and nile did outside of it. "upside down" is an amazing track. "my forbidden lover" is another classic. "open up" is a great one, too. chic was a huge factor in me taking up bass guitar. one could probably do another 3 or 4 origins tracks for those two. maybe it's due time for a sister sledge version : conorfreedom232x: nile rodgers... greatest producer ever the reason i set out on the journey of being a producer.
briansredd: oh absolutely. that's "my forbidden lover" all day long thanks for watchingkastju: realy like your work . luther vandoss shine sample of chic too thanx for aswer big kiss
texs2007: don't forget nile's work with the b 52's and the vaughan brothers.MURPHNSPUD: pardon me 4 havin ears if u only but knew how much mr rodgers "music" has helped me of late and ne how how was i hating
briansredd: i love comments like this. ha "i already knew this, what's the big deal " not everyone knows this info so i'm just trying to share a bit, so don't hate.MURPHNSPUD: now tell me something i didnt know ek zz
andriesu: pitty that in 80's live performance was changed by electro sounds that was'nt better.i think disco must be live music and live electro sounds to house music.what about norma jean wright high society all chic songs were remixed in house music.they was the best in 70's.pagbuya1379: another gr8 origins. you chose the producers that created the most utilized bits and pieces for music today. how about bringing it back to the old school. i started to notice kashif and a few songs in that genre. i'm searching for more, other than the obvious.
leftofleft: the fatman scoop track was just a b side chic cheer lv16 of 'i want your love' it just shows the class of this quality disco band.briansredd: often times, i'll have to do research before i shoot these some is off the top of my head but not all of it . perhaps you can shoot me an email with some resources about whatever you'd like to see a video on and i'll put it together, cool
briansredd: hi mixx72. thanks so much for watching and i'm glad you are enjoying the series so far. i've been very busy with other projects so i haven't been putting them out as frequently as i'd like to. sure, we can do a video on whatever you wish.mixx72: hey brian what's up your doing a kick ass job with this series. i just came across part 9 and had to watch all the others. keep up the good work and keep them coming. do you think you could do something on the dj wars of the 80's, that would kick ass. miami bass too.
briansredd: oh yeah, an origin or two ago, we broke down soup for one. that's a fun one. i think it's 4briansredd: thanks bioyam. if you go way back into my archives, you'll find sugar hill gang burried in there somewhere. i'm very big on early hip hop thanks a bunch for watching. i'm always looking for suggestions for new origins videos and i'm sure you will be a valuable resource
